Optotek operates a 36,000 square-foot facility on Steacie Drive,
Kanata.

The company designs and manufacturers optoelectronic andsemiconductor components and subsystems. These include: customized light emitting diode (LED) displays, associated driveelectronics, and test equipment (one major product is an LED
printhead (Prinstic) used in high-speed computer printers andelectronic printing presses).

The company also supplies specialized software to the wirelessand microwave industry for computer-aided circuit design, testand analysis; these comprise MMICAD, a linear simulator, and
SALSA, a transistor modelling and extraction software.

OPTOTEK LTD. has gained international recognition as a leading supplier of advanced optoelectronic, semiconductor products and specialized CAE software. Since 1977, Optotek's military and commercial products have enjoyed widespread acceptance, with principal markets in North America, Europe and the Far East. The company is fully equipped for design, manufacturing and testing at both commercial and military levels. In-house capabilities include environmentally controlled clean rooms and laboratories with a full complement of processing, assembly and test equipment.

Optotek also developed and commercialized the MMICAD® Suite of
CAE/CAT software products for RF and microwave applications.
