For more than 80 years we have been Nova Scotia's main electricity provider. Our customers have always looked to us to provide safe, reliable sources of energy to power their lives. Today our customers are looking for more, and we’re listening.Our customers want cleaner energy, and more energy from renewable sources. We’re making strides. By 2007 we plan to add 100 megawatts of new renewable energy, enough to power more than 30,000 homes. This will bring our capacity from renewable energy to approximately 500 megawatts, or enough to power 140,000 homes.Meanwhile, we're investing in technology at our plants to improve our environmental performance. By 2010, for example, our emissions of sulphur dioxide will be reduced by 50 percent.
