Travis was raised in the town of Norman Wells and has extensive aviation experience through the positions he has held at North-Wright Airways as Commerical Pilot and Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. Travis has a sound and acute understanding of the ground operations of North-Wright Airways and is known around the region for providing a dependable service to the passengers. Travis has also served on the NWT Tourism Board of Directors and has a great understanding of the tourism sector at North-Wright Airways.

North-Wright Airways is the Sahtu Region's premier air service. We are located 145 km (90 miles) south of the Arctic Circle in the heart of the Sahtu Region, at Norman Wells, Northwest Territories. A family business, North-Wright Airways believes in providing our customers with nothing less than the best quality service at a competitive price.

North-Wright operates aircraft such as the Twin Otter that can land on small lakes, rivers, bush airstrips, mountain strips, level makeshift landing areas in the barren lands and on ice. This flexibility gives North-Wright the ability to provide a variety of charter services to meet the needs of a large number of clients.

Fort McPherson is located on the east bank of the Peel River 70 miles south of Inuvik. North-Wright Airways provides service to the community twice a year during freeze up and breakup when the Dempster Highway and the river ferries do not operate. The community was established in 1840 when the Hudson Bay Company set up a post. Twenty years later Father Grollier started an Anglican mission there and the RCMP followed building a detachment there in 1903. The RCMP regularly patrolled the Mackenzie Mountains between Fort McPherson and Dawson City.
