Description

Nestor's Bakery has been an icon in the community of Riversdale for over 70 years. Now operating as a non profit community bakery, Nestor's continues to provide wholesale and retail specialty baking and Ukrainian favourites. The bakery is utilized as a training site for at risk youth that are managed by a commercial cooking instructor. The training program is called the Three Sisters Training Bakery and allows youth to gain work experience and skills in a real workplace. For many of these students, it is their first experience in earning a legitimate source of income.
