Description

We give back to Toronto communities by performing for retirement residences, health care centres, and schools. We provide cash donations and gift certificates to community organizations and sports teams such as the Concerned Kids, and the Toronto Eagles hockey team. We provide gift certificates for silent auctions to help raise money for schools (Ursula Franklin Academy, Mountview Alternative Public School, Runnymede Junior and Senior Public School).

Use a minute timer every time you practice. Allocate your practice time into multiple short segments, making sure to focus on certain techniques, studies, and repertoire. Timing your practice sessions will help keep you on task. Time management is an extremely valuable life skill, one that’s worth developing.

The ability to conquer fear and anxiety is yet another important life skill that can be developed through musical performance. This often requires risk-taking and stress management, and can be extremely challenging for some people. For these reasons, we provide low stress recitals in an extremely encouraging environment, one where students can feel as comfortable as possible when performing for their family, friends, and peers.

We provide basic guitar repairs and guitar maintenance for all our students. Repairs include: raising/lowering the saddle, replacing the nut, saddle, tuning keys, and washers, as well as soldering wires to the lug of an output jack or pot within the guitar.

We provide numerous performance opportunities for all of our students. There are multiple student recitals held four different times per year, all of which are free of charge.
