Description

Due to the visionary leadership of the Late Xavier Michon (1920-1987), Founder of the Thunder Bay Indian Friendship Society (1964), Xavier, in addition to key members of the community realized that Aboriginal families, for health reasons, education and employment opportunities arrived in the City needing safe and affordable housing; the Native People of Thunder Bay Development Corporation was incorporated in 1973.
