When choosing a flight school it is comforting to be able to put your trust in a school with a proven track record. Mountain View Helicopters has been in operation for over 15 years, and we are a fully accredited Private Vocational Institution in Alberta. We provide the training standard other schools strive to achieve. Students that register for our full-time Commercial Helicopter Pilot training program are able to apply to the Canada Student Loans program for funding assistance. We are also recognized as an approved educational facility for RESPs.

Mountain View Helicopters is located just west of Calgary at the Springbank Airport. Our company provides helicopter flight training and charter services. The Springbank facility has been in operation since 1995. We train both commercial and private helicopter pilots, as well as provide recurrent training for a number of other helicopter companies in Canada. Mountain View Helicopters can provide ab initio flight training, or conversion to a Canadian helicopter pilot licence for international students. We have charter experience with forestry, aerial photography, electronic news gathering, the oil and gas industry, the film industry, and tourism. Mountain View Helicopters is also an approved Robinson Helicopter Service Centre. We provide convenient helicopter maintenance for private owners at our Springbank facility. Contact us for details.

Mountain View Helicopters operates year-round with a main base located at the Springbank Airport, just west of Calgary, Alberta. Our company has been offering helicopter charter services since 2000, while our flight training division has been in operation since 1995. We have vast aerial photography experience. We are available most days of the year for scheduled and "last minute" photo Flights. Mountain View Helicopters has provided our services to a number of local and international photographers, throughout the Calgary, Kananaskis, and Rocky Mountain region. As members of Tourism Calgary we celebrate the beauty of the Calgary region by providing a unique view of the city and surrounding Rocky Mountain area. We offer tours in several types and sizes of helicopters to accommodate any size group or single passengers. Read on to find the right fit for you. The R44 Raven II helicopter is a state-of-the-art piston engine helicopter, which is currently the number one selling helicopter in the world. This 4-seat helicopter is designed so that all passengers have a window seat - perfect for sight-seeing. Since one seat is required for the pilot, this aircraft can accommodate a maximum of 3 passengers per flight. The R22 Beta II is a two seat helicopter that can accommodate passenger weights of up to 220 lbs. If you are looking for an economical flight for sight-seeing or photography the R22 may be ideal. If neither of the Robinson Helicopters are large enough to suit your needs Mountain View Helicopters also operates turbine helicopters. The Bell Jet Ranger, or Long Ranger are examples of turbine aircraft that can accommodate larger passenger and cargo loads.
