In 2005, the Government of Ontario enacted legislation allowing municipalities to offer brownfield remediation tax increment grants to property owners as an inducement for them to remediate contaminated lands. Morrison Financial was an early entrant to this market with financing for these grants. In this program we provide cash to land owners as reimbursement for the clean-up and redevelopment of contaminated land in municipal community improvement plan areas.
