Description
Monteith & Sutherland Limited has been providing surveying and engineering services throughout Ontario for over 50 years. We are recognized experts in precision engineering surveys including deformation monitoring, tunnel surveying and large scale geodetic horizontal/vertical control surveys. We are currently working on the Niagara Falls Tunnel Construction Project and the Toronto York Spadina Subway Extension providing specialized surveying services.
Monteith & Sutherland Limited have successfully conducted legal surveys including pipeline and utility corridor surveys in various Ontario locales for over 40 years. Our hard copy filing system of over 20,000 properties and plans is conveniently accessible through our computerized database to provide efficient and accurate information on or around our clients property to facilitate boundary retracement. Our ablility to and retrieve land related information in this manner allows us to supply our client with an accurate and cost effective product.
Monteith & Sutherland Limited have been providing hydrographic surveying services since 1988. Currently we use Hypack surveying and navigation software interfaced with a digital depth sounder and a DGPS receiver. Rigorous hydrographic surveying procedures are used to correct for positional latency, calibrate the speed of sound and correct for tidal variations therefore ensuring accurate depth data. Ground proofing the horizontal datum, particularly related to dredging contracts, has proven critical since coordinate transformations are often required.
