Simmons employs over 5,500 team members, approximately 1,000 of which are employed with Simmons Pet Food. Operating four independent plants, we are North America’s largest wet pet food private-label and contract manufacturing supplier. Simmons Pet Food manufactures retail private-label brands for most of America’s largest retailers. Simmons also owns and operates a state-of-the-art dry pet food facility located in Decatur, Arkansas, the construction of which was completed in 2010.

Simmons Foods and Affiliated Companies was co-founded by M.H. “Bill” Simmons and a business partner whom Mr. Simmons bought out a few years later. Simmons is a family owned business known for its foresight, innovation, and loyalty to customers. In fact, some of our customer relationships go back nearly fifty years.

As a related business to our wet pet food manufacturing, Simmons operates Simmons Metal Container (SMC). SMC manufactures cans for both Simmons Pet Food and other outside customers.
