Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for shooting and editing projects and also be an active part of the creative process from concept to completion. This creative, highly motivated, self-starter will possess 3-5 years of production experience in a professional/business environment. They will possess advanced leadership, communication and project management skills. He/she will also have a strong client-relations background and an intimate understanding of corporate video, commercial production and the community within which we reside. This position requires advanced and demonstrated knowledge of Apple Final Cut Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop or equivalent creative suite software, along with editing experience at an advanced level in order to meet required expectations. This position also requires an understanding of end-product delivery media, including DVD authoring using DVD Studio Pro, and compression into various web formats. In addition, your skill set will also include advanced cinematography, with applied experience shooting high-definition visuals using a variety of cameras, including the use of film lenses. Your applied knowledge will demonstrate an understanding of camera optics, set lighting and the ability to adhere to a creative vision. The ability to work as part of a team in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment is a must. Additional qualifications include: - Excellent organization skills and attention to detail, - Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize, - Excellent interpersonal skills, - Work appropriately with sensitive and confidential information, - Excellent command of the English language, spoken and written (French is also an asset) - Legally able to work in Canada and must hold a valid driver's license, - Must be able to work occasional weekends and irregular days and hours as required. This position is part-time with the potential of developing into a full-time position.
