Description

President's Message Welcome to the MIP Website. When I became President of MIP Inc., I felt a sense of obligation to lead this Company with the same ideals that had been implanted into the organization by its founder. Although MIP has always been a provider of reusable healthcare products, it is defined by a desire to deliver more than just an everyday product. Now, eight years later, we have tripled in size, and our operations span the globe. We offer a much broader product range, covering most of the reusable textiles used in the Health Care market as well as a line of therapeutic mattresses.

Americans over 65 make up over 12.4 percent of the population. With many living longer and requiring long-term care, the use of incontinent products is skyrocketing. As featured in the "Laundry Today" Journal (May 2008) Underpads haven't changed much in appearance over the last few decades. However, there has been a change in the way reusables are perceived vs. disposables when considering the environmental impact of disposables. Underpads mostly retain the same composite i.e. face, soaker and vinyl layers and remain fairly standard in size i.e. 34 x 36.

Company Profile Vision To be recognized as the premier supplier of textile and related products, services and solutions to the International Healthcare Community Mission To proactively and reliably supply our customers with cost effective products, services and solutions, which consistently help them meet or exceed their objectives Meeting a Global Need Healthcare has become a pressing global concern. As an aging population, we are stressing the systems set up to help us. Developed societies wrestle with spiraling costs and the toxic danger of medical waste incineration.

Both Janice (Encompass Group) and Gabriel (MIP Inc.) look closely at reusable underpads and the threat from disposables. They have two different, but very complementary, points of views: Janice, from the patient care, clinical aspects and Gabriel from the economical, environmental aspects.
