It's about every aspect of our family business - from the thoughtful way we prepare our wholesome products to the way we work with our farmers to our relationships with our customers and consumers.

Our products are delicious, nutritious, affordable and convenient, all which contribute to making people feel good and enhancing their sense of wellbeing. Eaten in moderation, as part of a healthy diet, our products can play a significant role in our customer and consumers' daily lives. That said, we want to be a part of the solution to an ever growing desire for healthier convenience food products offered at an affordable price.

Good food is a journey for McCain. We have made great progress in reformulating many of our products in some of our regions around the globe to meet our commitment of using only real food in our products – specially selected potatoes, real cheese, green peppers and vine-ripened tomatoes to name just a few. At the same time we are removing unfamiliar ingredients. If you can’t find an ingredient in your own kitchen cupboard, then it’s our goal to remove it from our products.

Vegetable agronomy and the transfer of knowledge to contract growers have played key roles in McCain’s worldwide success. Today approximately 80 per cent of our raw product is supplied by contract farmers, and our role is to share our research, knowledge and expertise with our grower partners to ensure their operations have the least impact on the environment and deliver quality product and a profitable return. This transfer of knowledge and expertise has helped to develop local economies the world over.
