Description

Working with Infants & Toddlers (100 hours) This course will provide students with the theory and practical experiences needed to plan, implement and assess early childhood programs for infants and toddlers. Emphasis will be placed on guiding and caring strategies that meet the needs, interests and abilities of infants and toddlers in a childcare setting.

Music & Movement (40 hours) Music and Movement focuses on the knowledge, experience and skills needed to implement music and movement within an emergent curriculum program. This course recognizes the individual child’s abilities and skills and be able to engage the child in musical activities that are developmentally appropriate.

ECE Certificate and Diploma programs prepare students for a variety of career opportunities in the field of Early Childhood Education or the Child and Youth Care field. Extensive field placement opportunities are available in our programs. Graduates find employment working with people in a wide range of community settings, including licensed daycares, pre-schools, youth drop-in centers, and other places that provide services for children and youth.
