MOLOK North America Ltd. suppies and distributes MOLOK Deep-Collection waste containers to the North American market.

The MOLOK system uses a large seamless cylindrical plastic container which is buried 5-feet deep into the ground with 3-feet showing above ground. Inside the container is a lifting bag. When the bag fills up with waste, the bag is lifted out of the container with a mechanical lifting arm attached to an emptying truck ,and emptied through the bottom of the bag into the truck. The bag is then returned to the container for reuse.

Using the simple laws of nature, coolness and gravity, the MOLOK system maximizes waste capacities. The cylindrical shape of the container along with the small surface to depth ratio (5.5-foot diameter and 8-foot depth) allow for natural compaction of the waste often allowing for up to 2.5-times the actual volume of the container. The coolness of the earth keeps the waste from decomposing therby minimizing odours.

As a result, the containers are emptied less often then with conventional waste bins. This means less cost for pickup and reduced emissions from collection vehicles.

The MOLOK systen can be used for the collection of all waste and recylables including glass, paper and organics for all applications.
