Description
The aTRAQ ™ Reagents are used to provide a consistent mass tag to aid in the MS/MS fragmentation of the sample and internal standard in a molecular weight region with reduced interference. This improves the precision and accuracy of quantitation by providing a mechanism to use an internal standard for each amino acid analyzed and provide an extra degree of confirmation by using the retention time and the molecular weight of the standard and sample for confirmation of each amino acid. The mechanism of aTRAQ ™ reagent derivitization is shown in Figure 1.
