Lawson Projects is an Alberta-based company providing Independent Project Management Services to Project Owners throughout Western Canada. Lawson Projects was formed in 1976 and has remained focused entirely on running a successful project for the benefit and satisfaction of the major stakeholder - the Client. We do not offer our services as ancillary to other interests, such as design or construction. Our Construction Executives are trained as Project Managers. They have many years of combined experience in facility development and building processes, including project procurement and senior roles in design, project administration, general contracting, and cost estimating. As Project Managers, Lawson Projects focuses on making all the building processes work. We offer a combination of technical experience and people skills that makes Lawson Projects the natural choice for your Project Management requirements. We have an experienced and proven team ready to provide Pre-Construction, Construction and Post-Construction services on new construction, renovation and retrofit projects.

A new 9,750 m² (105,000 sq ft) office block and manufacturing facility to relocate this major designer and manufacturer of specialty valves and valve control consoles. Opus Development Corporation was the design-builder broker. Our Client was the single use tenant for this facility.

Lawson Projects provided Project Management services for the base building conversion as well as the tenant improvements and information technology components. The building required upgrades to meet current building code requirements including a major upgrade to the fire detection and fire protection systems. Demolition materials were recycled, pre-cast concrete panels were opened to allow installation of energy efficient windows and large skylights were installed in the roof. A 7,900 m² (85,000 sq ft) mezzanine was constructed within the building to create additional office space. Lease termination dates dictated that the project completion schedule could not slip and Lawson Projects met the mandate of remaining "on budget and within schedule". We continue to provide Project Management services on a variety of project types for ENMAX and their ancillary companies.

Lawson Projects is serving as Brewsterâ??s Agent by providing Project Management Services to oversee the work of the Design Build Team, including reviewing invoicing, change orders, claims, schedules and requests for approvals; expedite permits and approvals with Parks Canada; and serve as Project Liaison between Parks Canada and Brewsterâ??s Project Team.

Lawson Projects currently has openings for Senior and Intermediate Project Managers. Preference is given to construction professionals with P. Eng., CET and/or PMP certification with a minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in commercial construction (minimum 5 years for Intermediate). Experience with scheduling, database, spreadsheet and word processing applications is essential. Applicants should provide a summary of project experience that they believe makes them suited for one of these positions. Short-listed candidates will be invited to an interview.
