As the leading Canadian firm of design engineers in the marine bulk materials handling field, Lassing Dibben primarily designs equipment for self-loading and unloading ships and barges. The Schreyer Award

Each year an award is presented to a Canadian consulting engineering company for the most outstanding engineering project of the previous year. The award is named after His Excellency,
Edward Schreyer, a former Governor General and is presented by the current Governor General.

In 1989, Lassing Dibben won this award for their Double
Articulated Boom built for Canada Steamship Lines Incorporated.

In 1991, Lassing Dibben won an "Award of Merit" for their design of the Foss Self Unloading Lightering Barge.

In 2001, Lassing Dibben won an "Award of Excellence" for their environmentally friendly design of a quadrant shiploader in
Pittsburg, California.
