LaPrairie Crane was established in 1982 as the founding member of LaPrairie Group of Companies. We provide lift and heavy haul services for construction projects as well as maintenance contracts. We are specialists in engineering and executing highly complex and extra-heavy lifts.

We are 100% Canadian-owned and operated and employ 350 people across 26 locations. We specialize in operating in northern environments and our commercial footprint spans Alberta, British Columbia, Yukon and Northwest Territories.

LaPrairie Group of Companies is comprised of LaPrairie Crane, LaPrairie Works and Canadian Silica Industries. LaPrairie Crane provides hoisting, rigging and lift engineering services, while LaPrairie Works offers full-service contracting, road and bridge maintenance, road construction, and mining services. Canadian Silica Industries manufactures and distributes silica sand products and aggregates.
