For the past 36 years, L ’Arche Winnipeg has worked to build a more compassionate society towards people with developmental disabilities. Your contribution will go a long way towards improving the quality of life for our community members. The L ’Arche charter states that, “In a divided world, L'Arche wants to be a sign of hope. Its communities, founded on covenant relationships between people of differing intellectual capacity, social origin, religion and culture, seek to be a sign of unity, faithfulness and reconciliation. ” But we cannot do this on our own. Your donation will allow L ’Arche Winnipeg to give our community members a better life. It will allow us to provide them with much needed services and resources. It will allow us to provide better support and advanced training for our staff. It will allow us to continue pursuing a brighter tomorrow for people with developmental disabilities. The government covers roughly 90% of our annual operating budget, but they do not cover capital costs. We need funds to ensure the functionality of our homes – from necessary maintenance and repairs to vehicle upkeep. We also need funds to facilitate training retreats for assistants, communications, community development, and so much more. Your contribution makes a real difference in community life at L ’Arche Winnipeg, and for this, we are eternally grateful.
