Description
Athabasca Catering Limited Partnership has more than 20 years' experience in food service, housekeeping, janitorial, mobilization and camp management services. Our clients are remote mines and mills, forestry projects, industrial developments and institutions. We work hard to develop long term business relationships based on premium service. We provide turnkey camps for some of our clients and service others in their own facilities.
Started in 1986 by the Lac La Ronge Indian Band and Trimac Transportation, NRT is a partnership that now involves many aboriginal groups, including Metis, Dene and Cree. NRT began as a transport company specifically designed to provide service to the world's largest, publicly traded mining companies of Saskatchewan's north. Our two largest customers, Cameco Corporation and Areva, rely on NRT to provide safety and service in some of the most demanding driving conditions that the full four seasons can provide.
With success in the north under its belt, Athabasca Catering is looking to expand into the potash sector, and has recently bid on a job with K + S Potash in the Bethune/Moose Jaw area and another job near Wynyard. "We're also in discussion with SaskPower and the Kiewit Corporation with a view to providing camp services at Black Lake's Tazi Twe power project," says Danchuk.
