KETEK Industries Ltd. was formed in June 1979. It operated in conjunction with and complementary to Rose-Del's trucking Ltd. owned by a brother of the owners of KETEK. The company developed rapidly in the first few years of operation and in January 1981 Mr. R.J. Abel started working full time, in charge of operations of the company. In the spring of 1981 with the projected reduction of oilfield activity in Canada, the company decided to establish a subsidiary in Casper, Wyoming.
