The founder of Interarc Design Inc., Roland Muller, graduated with a 6 year B Arch degree from University of Natal and obtained his licence as architect in 1979. He was a partner at Interarc Architects from 1984-1994. Interarc Design Inc., as a sports facility design consultancy, was founded in 1994. Through Interarc Design Inc., Roland has worked with and is credited by the International Association of Athletic Federations (IAAF), as contributor to the IAAF Track & Field Facilities Manual (2003 edition). Roland currently sits as volunteer on the Track Technical Committee, for the American Sports Builders Association (ASBA). As licensed architect, Roland Muller has experience with a wide variety of building types, including hospitals, schools, industrial facilities, commercial developments and residential accommodation. In 1992/93, he was architect in charge, for the complete renovation of the then existing Kings Park Soccer Stadium, including design and construction of a new 9 lane track to host the 9th African Athletics Championships and a soccer field built to FIFA World Cup requirements. In preparation, he researched, inter alia, stadia used for the 1990 FIFA Soccer World Cup hosted in Italy.
