Description
Instant Custom Signs opened in May 1992 in a 1300 square foot shop in Brampton. The business started small with one employee, in addition to Drew Brims who owns Instant Custom Signs. With a computer, one 20" vinyl cutter and lots of enthusiasm, the business grew steadily. As the business developed, additional equipment was added to meet changing customer needs; initially, a 48" vinyl cutter, and then, as digital printing became a part of sign making, a 36" digital printer and a 38" laminator were acquired. A 52" digital printer/vinyl cutter and a 54" laminator soon replaced these. Instant Custom Signs moved to its current 5,000 square foot facility in 2000. With the increased space, the business is able to handle larger and more complex projects. One recent example is a 40' long sign face, which could not have been handled in the original space. Instant Custom Signs currently has four full-time employees with many years of experience in the sign business.
