Inside Edge offers two programs to learn the game of hockey from. First, players aged 3 to 6 with no or limited hockey experience can join the Rascals program. Rascals currently has two levels, Rascals #1 which is geared for players with no skating experience and are 6 years of age and younger, and Rascals #2 which are for players up to age 6 with limited skating experience. The Rascals program runs from end of September and goes until mid March. Rascals practice twice a week for one hour at the Burnaby Winter Club. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> The second program which we offer is geared to late teens and adults (male and female). Players with some, but limited skating experience are welcome to attend the Adult Learn to Play program. This program which is offered once a year is held at Planet Ice Coquitlam and goes for ten weeks starting in April and concluding in June. These clinics run Sunday nights from <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /> 8:45pm – 9:45pm . Instruction on all skill components involved in hockey is provided. Inside Edge can customize a training program which can start a player’s development in the game of hockey while focusing on the individuals specific areas needing improvement.
