Pipe cold cutting is the easiest and safest method for cutting pipe. Unlike the outdated use of torches, reed cutters and grinders, pipe cold cutting isn't hot work. This means no sparks or flames and a reduced risk of fire or explosions. Pipe cold cutting is also far more accurate and produces a near perfect quality bevel. In-Situ machining has over 100 years of combined experience in pipe cutting and an extensive range of clamp shell pipe cutters which allows us to cut pipe anywhere from 2" to 90". Ryan Titley has worked with In-Situ Machining part time during the school year and full time during the summer since 2003. After graduating from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, he permanently joined our team full time. Now with almost 10 years of onsite experience, Ryan has transitioned to a front desk role as our Operations Manager. His excellent organizational and time management skills help In-Situ Machining to continue running smoothly.

In-Situ Machining is completely prepared with a mobile tool shop dedicated to line boring. It includes hydraulic power packs, a generator, bearings, boring bars and all additional tooling and equipment necessary to complete the job. With our equipment we can accommodate diameters from 1.125" to 36" and our largest bar can reach up to 12 feet. In-Situ Machining also has its own portable power honing machine designed and manufactured by our own personnel. Its main purpose is the honing of engines and compressor cylinders onsite to achieve that fine finish they require to operate smoothly.
