The International Federation of Biomedical Laboratory Science (IFBLS) is an independent, non-governmental federation of societies in approximately 35 countries, representing more than 180 000 biomedical laboratory scientists worldwide. As a representative body, IFBLS works with international organizations to promote biomedical laboratory science all over the world. IFBLS is the worldwide voice of the biomedical laboratory science profession. As a federation, IFBLS encourages national societies of biomedical laboratory scientists to prescribe the minimum standards of training and to raise the standards of training.
