Hugh & McKinnon is one of the most successful real estate organizations in the Fraser Valley. When a company can maintain its independence for over 95 years, and is able to continually grow in a very competitive environment, you know it is doing something very special. Lifelong residents of the community, Greg Long and Bruce Robinson, acquired the company in 1990. At that time the company had 16 realtors, managed 875 strata units and 50 rental properties. Today the company has 38 realtors, manages 3,500 strata units, 250 rental properties, manages 15 commercial properties, and owns and manages the Kelowna Lakeshore Inn, Walnut Grove Towne Centre and Mt. Boucherie Place. Through diversification the company has achieved stability, when so many other real estate organizations have disappeared. Stability is the foundation of our success for both our clients and our staff. A very important aspect of Hugh & McKinnon's success over the years has been that it has been able to maintain its independence. There is a myth in the real estate industry that you must be a member of a franchise organization to survive. We are the proof that this is only a myth.
