The Mission of HSDC is to promote the health, social, cultural and economic self-sufficiency and well-being of women and at-risk youth, new immigrants, vulnerable, disadvantaged, marginalized and low-income families as well as minority groups so that they and their families will contribute to and enjoy the opportunities that Canada offers. HSDC's Vision Statement of HSDC is to make HSDC a frontline grass root agency that impacts positively on the lives of the community. Our Belief is: "If you help one woman, you have helped a whole family, because the income she makes is shared by the entire family. Children's early development depends largely upon their mothers, and only a sound woman (psychologically, financially and socially) will be able to raise a happy family."
