Description

Although there are struggles, there is hope and help. Since 1994, Citizens for Affordable Housing, York Region has been working with our community partners and funders to bring people and services together to meet vital basic needs. Our program staff help people to find and keep housing, connect to other services they need, and become educated on homelessness issues in our region. Our Board of Directors is actively involved in the decisions that shape and drive the organization and services we provide to our clients.

We do not act as an agent for any party; we do not screen the tenants; and, we do not inspect the accommodations being offered. We provide the rental information so you may inspect the unit and decide for yourself if it meets your needs. It is your responsibility to ensure the unit is legal and meets building code regulations.

It is with their financial support that we are able to provide services and programs that positively impact people in our community.

Community Support Program is a source of integrated information, referral and short-term case management that brings low-income people and services together to meet vital needs. However simple or complex the issues—our staff can help you find and access the services and programs best able meet to your needs.

We pride ourselves on providing quality services to York Region residents in an efficient, cost-effective manner. All donations go directly toward the delivery of our programs and services. Thank you for supporting our important work!
