A Message from Camp Director David Gravelle Welcome to the ALL NEW official web site of the HOT SHOTS Curling Camp, the world leader in adult curling instruction. We have been providing the latest in instructional techniques, strategy, and equipment through intensive on-ice sessions, video analysis, and classroom instruction since 1995. Our instructors are world-class athletes, competitors, and sports educators. We are so proud to have them affiliated with our camp. Each “camper” who attends a HOT SHOTS Curling Camp becomes a member of a larger international community of campers who have experienced our clinics. From our start with 60 campers in Peterborough, Ontario we have expanded to serve almost 2000 curlers over the past 15 years campers at camps in Guelph, Ontario; Oakville, Ontario; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; St. Paul, Minnesota; Madison, Wisconsin; Bridgeport, Connecticut; and, Ottawa, Ontario. It’s been a gratifying experience getting to know and work with each and every camper, and share in your successes on the ice. I appreciate your emails and photos of club or bonspiel championships. To our HOT SHOTS Curling Camp alumni, I would like to thank you for your support. We hope that your experience at the curling camp has translated into more success and enjoyment on the ice. They say time flies when you’re having fun, but has it really been 15 years? It’s hard to believe, but in 2010 we will be celebrating 15 years of providing the most comprehensive adult curling instruction in the world. To say thank you to our former campers (totaling almost 2,000 alumni) and to bring new campers into the fold, we are offering a number of fantastic promotions. First, we are offering a Team Sponsorship program in partnership with Goldline Curling. You can read about it below, but in a nutshell, if you sign up as a team, we will sponsor you for the 2010-11 season with cash and equipment. Secondly, we have developed a promotion for returning campers. If you bring a friend, or refer a new camper to us, we will provide you a $50 discount off your entry and a $50 Goldline Curling gift certificate. We are also planning a couple of other surprises which we will announce over the winter. So, start planning for next season and take advantage of some spectacular savings! -Team Sponsorship Available! We love working with teams! Many of our instructors are international coaches who are prepared to share the secrets of successful teams. In addition to helping build consistent deliveries throughout your lineup and developing your team communication skills, we will provide you with team building strategies and tools to make your season more enjoyable and successful on the scoreboard! If you register a team for one of our 2010 HOT SHOTS Curling Camps, we will provide your rink with a team sponsorship, valued at up to $500 (if you bring a coach). Register as a foursome, with proof that you are teammates (example: league draw schedule with your four names on it; copy of a registration in a playdown; or, a confirmed entry in a bonspiel), and the HOT SHOTS Curling Camp, along with Goldline Curling, will sponsor you for the 2010 season with a $50 per player cash sponsorship and $50 per player Goldline Gift Certificate. The cost for your coach to attend the camp will be at a reduced rate of $325 (plus applicable taxes). This offer is open to all teams from Juniors to Masters, of all levels and abilities.
