About
HOPE (Helping Other People Everywhere) is a volunteer, not-for-profit organization founded in 1982 by Fred Logan and friends, inspired by Terry Fox's mission. It hosts the annual HOPE Volleyball SummerFest, a large outdoor festival combining recreational volleyball, live rock entertainment, and a beach party. Over 15,000 participants attend, supporting three to six local charities. Since its inception, HOPE has donated over $4.9 million to more than 150 organizations, relying on a volunteer Planning Team of about 40 people and over 700 event-day volunteers. The event raises funds for community-based charities while fostering inclusivity and a lasting legacy.
