SOHO Business Report is a quarterly magazine begun in 1989, when the SOHO-based business phenomenon was just a "blip" on the screen of public consciousness. It originated in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada from the home of founding publisher Barbara Mowat. Starting as a small newsletter, it first started as The B.C. Home Business Report, and was designed to help link home-based businesses across the province, providing the lone entrepreneur with practical tips and sensible advice on running their business. The newsletter was in demand, and soon other regional editions followed in Alberta and Ontario. Then in 1994, Home Business Report went national. After all these years, it was time for the magazine to enter its teenage growth spurt and the SOHO Business Report emerged as a celebration of over a decade and a half of helping entrepreneurs. Our new publisher, Chad Thiessen, has been blazing paths through entrepreneurship himself. As the driving force behind the emerging "Dream Launchers Project", which ensures entrepreneurs succeed by bringing together support resources from a wide variety of organizations and media formats. Chad is focused on the success of the full range of SOHO based businesses, knowing full well that many of our readers expand their ventures into small businesses that drive our economy.
