The company is founded in Vancouver's old town, Gastown, on Powell street. Initially a small amount of leather cellphone cases are made and sold, but the market was small, so a line of leather daytimers and briefcases are also made. Leather quality and build quality were always important, so the cases and leather accessories quickly gained a reputation as the best.
