Walter's aim in 1972 was to produce high quality machine made perogy at a reasonable cost to consumers. He felt a family of five should be able to eat a good meal for under five dollars, and that a top quality, nutritious perogy could be a good, low-cost part of that meal. Walter's son Joe is now carrying on the family business as President & CEO. Heritage Frozen Foods Ltd. now produces enough CHEEMO perogy every year to circle the world.
