Description
Harland received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of California at Davis in 1968. After entering the investment business on a full-time basis in 1987, he completed his Charted Financial Planner designation and the Canadian Securities Course, becoming a stock broker in 1991. In June of 1992, he started his own mutual fund dealership, Hendrickson Financial Inc. HFI became licensed as a portfolio management company in 1998 and Harland received his Portfolio Manager designation in 2001. Due to new regulatory requirements, HFI relinquished its mutual fund dealership status in 2002, allowing Harland to focus on discretionary portfolio management. In April, 2004, HFI individual client accounts were transferred into the newly established HFI Growth Fund and HFI Income Fund.
