Heavy Crude Hauling L.P.'s origins date back to 1974 when Fred North purchased Temor Oilfield from Ray McIIwrick and 1978 when John Hougham purchased the assets of Ketchum's Oilfield Services and started Lloydminster Heavy Crude Services Ltd. By 2002 Temor Oilfield (1974) Ltd. expanded the business to include 180 bulk trailers and 150 sub-contractors and operated facilities in Lloydminster, AB, Maidstone and Macklin, SK. Lloydminster Heavy Crude Services Ltd. expanded to 50 bulk trailers, 25 sub-contractors and 53 trucks consisting of tractors, pressure, vacuum and flushby units operating in Lloydminster and Elk Point, Alberta.
