At Heart Kitchen and Bath sustainability, efficiency and conservation are extremely important fundamental principles that we strive to work into our designs and day-to-day operations . Naturally, if you are considering a new kitchen (be it a renovation or a new home), there is no getting around the fact that you will be consuming natural resources in order to have it built, shipped, and installed. However, though proper specification we are able to use various sustainably sourced woods, particle board (which is constructed from sawdust and particulate) produced without urea or formaldehyde, finishing processes void of the use of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), countertop materials made using significant recycled content, etc. There are many green products available in today's market. Obviously this is because there is a growing market for environmentally friendly products. However, printing a label in green doesn't necessarily make a product environmentally friendly. We will work with you in order to avoid 'greenwashing' and to make decisions that will result in the biggest 'bang for the buck' in regards to reducing your environmental footprint.
