Hax Pneumatics Ltd. was incorporated Oct. 6, 1978
There are two shareholders. The office is located at 407 Rose-
bank Rd. Pickering and manufacturing facilities are at 1390
Hopkins St., Whitby, Ont. In addition to the two owners the company employs two electrical engineers and a CAD drafter.
Additional personnel is hired on a 'as needed' basis.
Since the beginning of 1992 the company has moved away fromengineering services to manufacturing of flow control andweighing equipment.
Company is the sole manufacturer of the FLOW CONTROLLER,
HPFC-03:
The HPFC-03 series Flow Controller is a sophisticated and uniquefeeder intended for controlling and monitoring the discharge ofbulk solids out of any type of silos, bins or hoppers. Handlingany free flowing product from powder to granular. A direct pro-
duct path optimises through-put capacity, while minimising therisk of choking. A pneumatic cylinder powers a hinged gate usedto control the discharge rate. Gate position angle can be con-
trolled from full open to closed. Position control is achievedby constantly modulating the gate angle, effectively agitatingthe product at discharge point and improving flow characteristics
Doppler radar, in combination with Advanced Signal Processing
(DSP), determines the product flow velocity at point of discharge
A RS 485 master/slave network provides the control interface.
All controls and parameters are exchanged exclusively on thisnetwork. A series of Flow Controller can be connected forproduct blending.
