Susan M. Rowed Personal Law Corporation Susan graduated from Dalhousie University , Faculty of Law in 1988 and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1989. Since then she has practiced almost exclusively in the areas of insurance and personal injury law. During that time she has conducted numerous trials for Insurance Corporation of British Columbia and other clients. Susan worked as an in-house counsel for ICBC for ten years. During that time she spent considerable time helping to develop Low Velocity Impact ("LVI") strategies and protocols, and participated in numerous LVI jury trials. She also worked on a number of fraud cases that involved concerted efforts on the part of individuals to defraud ICBC of funds in fraudulent injury claims. In 1999, Susan was the Secretary of the Civil Litigation Subsection of the Victoria Bar . In 2000 she moved to Kelowna where she practiced with the ICBC Southern Interior Regional Litigation group, which included in-house lawyers in Kamloops. Susan's prior life experiences have provided her with a certain amount of the wisdom that is needed to make the difficult decisions that a counsel has to make. She has worked as an agrologist and was a commercial airline transport pilot including teaching flying as the chief flying instructor.
