Haddock Entertainment was founded by Chris Haddock, the creative force behind the award-winning television series Da Vincia s Inquest, The Handler, Da Vinci's City Hall and most recently, the series Intelligence. Haddock Entertainment's Da Vincia s Inquest, Canadaa s most critically acclaimed series, ran for seven seasons and received a Gemini for Best Dramatic Series five of the seven years it was nominated. The show has also been recognized with three nominations for the prestigious Banff Rockie Award as Best Continuing Series. Da Vincia s Inquest is recognized internationally as outstanding television in the 85 countries in which it is broadcast including syndication in the U.S. In 2005, Da Vincia s Inquest evolved to Da Vinci City Hall, which opened a new chapter in the life of the outspoken Dominic Da Vinci, played by Nicholas Campbell. A multi-genre procedural, Da Vinci City Hall expands its roots from the medical, legal and police procedural to include politics and the procedures of power. Haddock Entertainment also produced The Life, a CTV television movie starring Bruce Greenwood and Brian Markinson as police officers struggling to help the drug addicted in Vancouvera s Downtown Eastside. Intelligence, a two-hour movie pilot for the CBC, was ordered as a full series and will debut the fall of 2006.
