People have phoned and asked "Do you do wildlife photographs?" or " Do you stuff animals?" Well, we have many skills but these are not among them. What we do is design, build or renovate homes; habitats for humans and we are good at it. At the Studio, we consult with our clients as to their needs, wishes, dreams, and we work with them to create a home design or addition or renovation to reflect their tastes and style of living. Then at the Workshop we turn the design into reality. Well, we actually turn the design into reality on their lot, but at the workshop, which is actually a converted garage, we do make some of the components that make the home uniquely their own. How did we get into this, the "Making of the great places and intimate spaces you call home"? Well, "Before Habitat" the three founding principals were minding their own businesses. Bruce Watt was a principal in an architectural practice for twenty years, where he was involved in designing a wide range of residential projects among other design work. Vince Campbell and Peter Amerongen were owners of their own companies specializing in residential construction. The seeds that grew into Habitat were sown in 1990 when Bruce, after leaving the architectural firm and having spent a brief sojourn with a high tech company, again started designing houses, his first love in design.
