From these humble beginnings and driven by a commitment to produce only the finest quality products, Gumpert's quickly grew to be recognized throughout North America as a leading ingredients supplier to the baking industry. In 1930 Gumpert's came to Canada. First to Montreal before moving to the west-end of Toronto some six years later. By 1981 with the company solidly entrenched in the Canadian market, it was time to build a larger, more modern facility and the result is the 55,000 square foot building in Mississauga, which today serves as corporate headquarters. Over 100 years later, we still use some of the original formulations created by Sally Gumpert and are proud that companies including Parmalat, Nabisco, and President's Choice, find Gumpert's ingredients to meet the highest standards of today's consumer.
