Guelph General Hospital is looking for a full time Hospitalist to join our well-established Department of Hospital Medicine Program. Started in 2002, our Hospitalist program is well developed, collegial and has great specialist support from Internal Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, and the allied health team. The program serves as a satellite teaching rotation for medical students and residents from McMaster University. In addition, our hospitalists are involved with hospital committees, utilization management strategies and patient safety initiatives.

The plan then went before the Waterloo Wellington Local Health Integration Network (WWLHIN) Board of Directors at its May meeting. It decided to not stop the voluntary integration of gestational diabetes care, including the transfer of this service from the Hospital to the Family Health Team. Now, GGH is working with the GFHT so that the service can be offered at Diabetes Care Guelph three locations (Dawson Rd Family Medical Centre, Guelph Community Health Centre and Surrey St., Medical Complex) as of July 15.
