The Gateway to Knowledge Inc. was incorporated in 1996 with the mission of providing educational products to meet the needs of the education system in Canada and internationally. As the Company expanded, we became aware of the increasing demand for quality classroom and home educational resources that are linked to curriculum. As a result of this need, GTK Press was established in 1998 as a division of The Gateway to Knowledge Inc. GTK Press focuses on the development of educational resources to support the Canadian Curricula. The first Program - The Science and Technology Activities Resources for Grades 1 - 8 has been fully published in 2003 in both English and French. GTK is currently developing a Grades 1 - 3 Math Now Program and the Grade 3 text book is now available. The Company has partnered with Let's Talk Science, a research-based institution developing science educational resources, in publishing an early childhood program, Wings of Discovery . A K-3 Integrated Program was published in 2005. Business continued to expand and in 2000, the Company has successfully sold the Chinese adaptation right of the STAR Program to the Beijing-based Science Press. In 2002, The Company has been engaged in a consultancy contract in Hebei to advise on the development of the Grade 3 - 6 Science Program in accordance with the Chinese National Curriculum.
