Wesley has worked actively within the arboriculture industry for over 10 years and has passed the International Arboriculture Society (ISA) Certified Arborist exam. He is committed to forming and maintaining the satisfaction of our customers, while never losing sight of our shared environmental responsibilities.

We pride ourselves on our professional, affordable, quality tree work and would never take advantage of our customers by over charging them. We are a registered corporation with full insurance. We are educated with years of experience in the proper use of pruning, removals, climbing gear, chainsaws, etc.

Green Heritage Tree Services Ltd was founded in 2009 by local entrepreneur, Wesley A. Jenkins, ISA-Certified Arborist. Paired with Canada’s green heritage and our own family tree, our logo was created. The roots of our company began with an ancestry of family in the forestry industry. The center of the tree trunk displays growth rings, also called dendrochronology. Before the advent of carbon-dating, dendrochronology, or “ring counting”, was the preferred scientific method of estimating a tree’s age. Currently, the world’s oldest tree resides in California’s Inyo National Forest. This bristlecone pine, known as “Methuselah” is over 4,600 years old, or, roughly the same time Stonehenge was being constructed! The tree in our logo is Wesley’s favorite, an oak tree. Considered the king of the green realm, it is hardy and strong. According to Celtic symbolism, oak trees are a cosmic storehouse of wisdom embodied within its towering strength. Wearing oak leaves was a sign of special status among the Celts (as well as ancient Greeks and Romans).

Green Heritage Tree Services Ltd was founded in 2009 by local entrepreneur, Wesley A. Jenkins, an ISA-Certified Arborist. We are incorporated by the Nova Scotia Registrar of Joint Stock Companies as a Canadian, small family entity, backed by our historical ancestry within the forestry, construction, mining, and financing industries.

Julie’s father, Larry Witherell, has over 40 years of experience in finance, where he has served businesses in the construction and manufacturing industries. Naturally, Larry’s experience makes him a natural fit as financial advisor for Green Heritage Tree Services Ltd.
