Description

11) WHAT DO YOU USE FOR WALL SHEATHING? The main function of the wall sheathing is to provide bracing against wind shear and to prevent the walls from moving out of square or leaning. We use 4x8 sheets of 7/16 OSB, which provides excellent bracing. If T&G Boards are used they will have to be applied on a 45 degree angle to provide bracing or corner bracing would have to be installed between the studs. T&G boards shrink and separate and act independently and not as a total surface like a sheet product.

Commitment to Satisfaction: We are committed to your satisfaction and guarantee our products for two years. (Severe weather damage excluded.) All of our buildings are constructed with top quality materials and built according to the National Building Code. Our storage barns are delivered fully assembled if possible, but can be assembled on site for a small fee if access is difficult. Our garages and custom buildings are stick built on site, to your specifications. Concrete floors included.

1) WILL SOMEONE FROM YOUR COMPANY VISIT MY SITE? YES- A representative from our company will visit any site within our standard delivery area and assist you in selecting the size and style of your building to best suit your needs. We will assist you in selecting the siding and shingles to match your house, the location on your lot and explain the necessary site preparation. We will prepare a quote for the site preparation prior to the delivery of the building if required.

12) WHAT DO YOU USE FOR ROOF SHEATHING? We use 4x8 sheets of 15/32 OSB, which is manufactured specifically for roof sheathing, installed parallel to the trusses. The 7/16 OSB cannot be used for roof sheathing as the manufacturing process is different. T&G Boards should not be used for roof sheathing as they shrink and will cause the shingles to buckle. Shingle manufactures recommend against T&G Boards and may not offer a warranty when they are used. 13) HOW ARE YOUR DOORS MADE? We frame our doors with a combination of 2x3 and 2x4 and sheath them with 7/16 OSB.
