Grand Valley Tile Co. Ltd. is a family business that was started by Bruce Goetz and Harold Hunt in 1959 in Kitchener, Ontario. The store's main customers were local people from the German-based community of Kitchener. The success of the company encouraged the partners to open a satellite store in Hanover, Ontario in 1965. This store served the people of the rural community of Hanover, Mildmay, and Mount Forest. Years later, Bruce and Harold sold the Hanover location and focused their efforts on the growing Kitchener-Waterloo area. Harold dealt primarily with customers that were building new homes or renovating their existing residence. Bruce dealt with commercial projects like restaurants, schools, and apartment & office complexes. In 2001, after Harold retired, Mark Goetz bought the business from his father, Bruce, and continues to service the Waterloo Region with pride and integrity. Today, Mark's sons help out during the summers. The pride of Grand Valley Tile is their ability to retain long-term employees. That's first, second, and third generations of skill and experience. Grand Valley Tile enjoys long-term relationships with their suppliers and customers. Grand Valley Tile Co. Ltd. has a large Showroom and Warehouse facility at its current location since 1980 and offers the latest trends in new and exciting broadloom carpet, vinyl, wood, laminates, marble, granite, and ceramic tile products.
