Grand Valley Fortifiers remains committed to working with our customers, veterinarians and the OMAF PEDv surveillance team (Animal Health and Welfare Branch, OMAF and MRA) to monitor, mitigate the risk of transmission and hopefully eliminate the spread of PEDv in Ontario. We are very grateful for the extensive effort put forth by practicing veterinarians and the OMAF PEDv surveillance team. We thank our customers and Ontario hog producers for their continued cooperation and resilience as we battle this virus.

As products from food producers move further, there is a greater need for an international standard to provide buyers with the comfort and assurance that their food products are safe for consumption and the quality is consistent.

Our organization is looking for energetic, hard working individuals who love pigs and enjoy working with swine producers through problem solving and identifying opportunities to help them generate more profit.

In response to rising feed costs, particularly the price of feed grade phosphorus, Grand Valley Fortifiers has created a new line of phytase premixes. Phytase releases the phosphorus normally “tied up” in corn and soybean meal making it more available to the pig. This new generation of phytase releases enough phosphorus from corn and soybean meal so as to minimize the amount of feed grade phosphorus that needs to be supplied by the premix.
