Gisele Fredette

Description

Mezzo-soprano Gisele Fredette is justly renowned for her musical versatility. She is an accomplished singer, composer, dancer and actor and performs often in concerts, musical, operas, operettas and large corporate and special gala shows across Canada, United States and Europe. Ms. Fredette is a vocal teacher as well and is often asked to adjudicate voice and speech arts in numerous musical festivals. Being perfectly bilingual (French & English) she often plays the dual role of Master of Ceremonies. Ms. Fredette also sings in eight languages and has appeared regularly with Toronto Operetta Theatre, Classical Cabaret, and with most Canadian and American orchestras. She has performed with numerous opera companies in such roles as Carmen in Carmen, Prince Orlofsky in Die Fledermaus, to name a few. Her musical credits range from Elisa Doolittle in My Fair Lady to Anita in West Side Story. Film credits include Euridice in Orfee and Euridice, Prima Dona in the Emmy Award Winner film Mr. Beethoven Lives Upstairs and numerous radio and television appearances. Ms. Fredette has numerous recordings and released her debut CD of her own compositions, One Voice, Une Voix, Una Voz. She was a featured artist in the new CD recording of the new musical comedy, The Magic of Love.
